Shanghai Creative Superconductor Technologies Co., Ltd. (SCSC) was founded in 2011, and was jointly invested by Shanghai University and the core team. It is a prominent manufacturer of 2G-HTS tapes.
SCSC is dedicated to the development of 2G-HTS materials and related application devices, and leading the HTS industrialization in Shanghai. As the supplier of the first 1 km-long 2G-HTS cable in China, SCSC has fulfilled the domestication of the equipment manufacture and development in technology since 2013. Currently, SCSC can produce the widest and longest 2G-HTS tapes in China with the lowest cost.The unique chemical coating process and high-quality/low-cost performance enable SCSC to be renowned in China and a frontrunner worldwide.

The techniques and processing methods for the buffer and superconductiong layers with independently developed intellectual property reaches at the international advanced ranks, and our markedly leads in China. With the precision slitting process, we produce the tapes with three different widths, 4mm, 6mm and 12mm. Besides, we are developing and manufacturing power equipment with our business partners. To date, we have applied for 15 technical patents (including 8 invention patents and 7 utility model patents, 11 of which have been authorized).

SCSC technical team consists of many talented and highly motivated professionals. Our CTO, Dr. Chuan-bing CAI, a professor at Shanghai University, a scholar of Shanghai Pujiang Program, is in charge of several national R & D programs.

Thanks to the efforts of Dr. CAI and all other team members, mass production of 1000-meter 2G HTS tape was launched already in SCSC. Development of materials with higher critical current is under way to meet the evolving needs of customers.
