Under the direct guidance of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Creative Superconducting Technology Co., Ltd. was a high-tech company jointly established by Shanghai University and Shanghai Huiyang superconducting material technology Co., Ltd. in August 2011 through the achievement transformation ofscience and technology research projects of Shanghai University, with a registered capital of RMB 69.19 million. In 2013, Shanghai Venture Capital Co., Ltd. and Fengxian Baicun Industrial Co., Ltd. (now renamed Juhui Biomedical Industry Development Co., Ltd.) invested nearly 100 million RMB in shares. SCSC has developed into a company composed of strategic investors, Shanghai University, Shanghai Baicun Industrial Co., Ltd which is a typical mixed ownership enterprise jointly invested and established by Shanghai Venture Capital Co., Ltd. and technical team.

Relying on the support of Shanghai University, the company established a kilometer level production line superconducting tape with independent intellectual property rights in 2013, and produced China's first-kilometer level of second-generation high temperature superconducting tapes and took this as a breakthrough to drive the product development of superconducting devices. The company has 60 employees, including 52 with a college degree or above. Scientific and technological personnel account for 75% of the total number of employees, including 7 with senior professional titles. There are 21 people with graduate education, including 9 doctors and 12 masters.

Many of the company's research and development personnel have undertaken national, provincial and ministerial science and technology projects and international science and technology cooperation projects, and have strong technology development ability. The buffer layer preparation technology of superconducting strip independently developed by the company has an international leading level, and the superconducting strip preparation technology is also a domestic leading level. Now, the company has cooperated with many equipment manufacturers at home and abroad to jointly develop the superconducting strip production equipment with independent intellectual property rights of SCSC for the construction of the production line of the second generation of high temperature superconducting strip, and has applied for 15 technical patents (including 8 invention patents and 7 utility model patents, 11 of which have been authorized). In terms of infrastructure, Shanghai University SCSC joint R & D center and industrialized production base have been established (a 8400m2 plant has been built in Fengxian District Industrial Park). As a guarantee for further development, Shanghai Key Laboratory of high temperature superconductivity was jointly built with Shanghai University and successfully passed the acceptance of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission on November 21, 2016.
